SWIMMING WORLD NEWS
March 16, 2020— These are unsettling times but what does not change is the ability of elite athletes to produce world-class performances in the face of uncertainty. So it was at the Edinburgh International Swim Meet where Duncan Scott, Tom Dean, Adam Peaty, Luke Greenbank and Jacob Peters all stood atop the podium, rankings rattled. James Guy went 51.84 in the morning heats of the 100 fly before bypassing the final as planned, the focus now on the coming weeks with coach Dave McNulty at the National Centre Bath. Edinburgh: Duncan Scott 48.49 100 Free, Jacob Peters Hits Lifetime Best 100 Fly
SWIMSWAM
March 15, 2020— Edinburgh International Swim Meet concluded tonight with several of Great Britain’s brightest swimming stars taking to the Royal Commonwealth Pool. Adam Peaty threw down a monster 58.13 last night in the men’s 100m breast and followed that up with a 50m breaststroke tonight in 27.14 for another gold. Peaty was quicker in the morning, establishing himself as the top-seeded swimmer in 26.86, a mark just .03 outside the 26.83 he posted at the McCullagh International. Tonight, he led a quartet of Olympic-caliber swimmers with a final time o ...

SWIMMING WORLD NEWS
March 15, 2020— Adam Peaty swam a time only he has bettered with a 100m breaststroke blast of 58.13 at the Edinburgh International Swim Meet. Now that the British Olympic trials are likely to be postponed in the light of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the meet at the Royal Commonwealth Pool may well be the final time many of these swimmers will be in competition for a while. Whether Peaty will even get the chance to defend his Olympic title in Tokyo in July is questionable given the Games are increasingly under threat. The world-record holder was out in 27.12 and back in 31.01 ahead of James W ...

March 14, 2020— Tom Dean and Laura Stephens delivered stand-out performances on the first day of the Edinburgh International Swim Meet . This would ordinarily present an opportunity for some hard racing on the road to the British Championships, which double as Olympic trials, next month in London.
