Edinburgh International Swim Meet concluded tonight with several of Great Britain’s brightest swimming stars taking to the Royal Commonwealth Pool. Adam Peaty threw down a monster 58.13 last night in the men’s 100m breast and followed that up with a 50m breaststroke tonight in 27.14 for another gold. Peaty was quicker in the morning, establishing himself as the top-seeded swimmer in 26.86, a mark just .03 outside the 26.83 he posted at the McCullagh International. It is easy to forget that double European 200m breaststroke medallist Molly Renshaw is still only 23 given she has been part of the Great Britain senior squad for nigh on nine years. Renshaw was 15 when she made her senior international debut at the 2011 World Championships in Shanghai where she finished 20 in the 200m breaststroke, just 0.47secs off a semi-final place.

Duncan Scott fired off a time of 1:47.06 in the final of the 200m free at the McCullagh International in Bangor, Northern Ireland, a 27.81 blast down the last 50 rocketing him into the world top 6 on the early 2020 World Rankings.
