Feb. 28, 2021— Junior Olivia Carter won her second consecutive Big Ten title in the 200-yard butterfly in record-setting fashion to lead the No. 9-ranked University of Michigan women's swimming and diving team on Friday (Feb. 26) inside the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center. The Wolverines remain in second place (940.5 points), a robust 235.5 points clear of third-place Indiana. Ohio State continues to lead the team race (1139.5 points).

Feb. 26, 2021— Juniors Maggie MacNeil and Olivia Carter went 1-2 in the 100-yard butterfly and were among nine top-10 individual finishers for the No. 9-ranked University of Michigan women's swimming and diving team on Thursday (Feb. 25) at the Big Ten Championships. After three days, the Wolverines sit in second place (650 points). Ohio State continues to lead the team race (771 points).

Jan. 21, 2021— Monmouth College (Ill.) announced Tuesday that it will discontinue its men’s and women’s water polo programs at the end of the 2020-21 season. Both programs were started in the last decade, with the men in 2012 and women in 2013. Wright is one of six Olympic medalists in the class, having earned a silver with the U.S. team at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
