Feb. 23, 2020— FEB 24, 2020 - Class 5A Heritage Hall’s Flynn wins two events Owen Flynn was nervous before the Class 5A state swim meet. “I threw up at the hotel, and I threw up again before my 200 IM,” the Heritage Hall sophomore said. Flynn didn’t let the nerves affect him Saturday at Jenks Aquatic Center. He won the 100-yard breaststroke (1 minute, 0.79 seconds) and 200 individual medley (2:00.39). Flynn said he wasn’t nervous last year before winning the state title in the 200 individual medley. He had higher expectations this season and put more pressure on himself.
