ISL Set To Launch 'Solidarity Programme' For Athletes
April 3, 2020— The International Swimming League (ISL) has today announced the launch of what they call a ‘Solidarity Programme’ for athletes, beginning on September 1st this year. The programme will contain two things ; First, all athletes who have a contract (or will sign a contract) with any of the ISL clubs will receive a set amount of money per month, starting from September 1st 2020 – July 1st 2021. Hungary Suspends Training Through April 15 After Coronavirus Outbreak
April 2, 2020— The Hungarian Swimming Federation has suspended training for Hungarian swimmers who have been abroad after 9 National Team members tested positive for COVID-19. Hungary announced the move in a press release yesterday. Much of the Hungarian National Team was training abroad in Thailand, and since returning to Hungary, nine people (including national team swimmers and staff members) had tested positive for COVID-19 as of Tuesday. April 2, 2020— After the announcement that the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games would begin on July 23rd, 2021, the rest of the global sporting calendar has begun to shift to accommodate the new insertion in the annual schedule.
