Northeastern senior Megan Clark was named the Colonial Athletic Association Women’s Swimmer of the Year for the second straight season Thursday. Clark had qualified for the NCAA Championships for the third straight season before that event was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Clark re-set the school record in the 100 freestyle at 48.46 seconds, bettering her school mark. The only Northeastern swimmer to win the award , Clark’s career ends with Huskies records in the 50, 100 and 200 free and as part of four relays (200 and 400 free, 200 and 400 medley). For the second time in her career, senior of the Northeastern women’s swimming and diving team has been named the Colonial Athletic Association Women’s Swimmer of the Year, as announced by the conference on Thursday. The Fairfax Station, Virginia native’s standout senior campaign landed her, her third straight berth into the NCAA Championships after qualifying in the 100-yard freestyle.
