The 26-year-old first produced a morning swim of 1:00.50 to take the top seed, overwriting the meet record of 1:01.32 Carlotta Zavkova put on the books back in 2018. German Swimming Federation cancels all events

March 14, 2020 — The German Swimming Federation (DSV) confirmed yesterday that all DSV events will be cancelled. The DSV also recommends this procedure for events that are organized directly by the swim clubs on a regional and local level. Therefore the German swimmers, like many other athletes, have no possibility at the moment to qualify for the Olympic Games, the European Championships in Budapest and also the European Junior Championships. Nordic Swim Tour Down One Stop As Bergen Cancels Due To Coronavirus

March 11, 2020 — The annual Nordic Swimming Tour is set to kick-off this month, but there is already a disruption due to the worldwide coronavirus ( COVID-19 ) situation. The Nordic Tour typically consists of a trio of meets including Helsinki Swim Meet (Finland), the Bergen Swim Festival (Norway) and the Swim Open Stockholm (Sweden). Although the first top, the Helsinki Swim Meet scheduled for March 25th and 26th is slated to go on as planned, stop #2 in Bergen has been cancelled.

March 7, 2020 — The man of the day at the 2020 Antwerp Diamond Race was Dutch swimmer Arno Kamminga , the two-time 2019 European Short Course Champion who fired off a new national record in the men’s 100m breaststroke. After producing a morning swim of 58.52 to become the world’s 5th fastest performer all-time, the 24-year-old dropped another .09 to post a super quick 58.43. That further separates him from the rest of the world in this season’s rankings, but also bumps him up to become the 3rd fastest performer of all-time, worldwide.
