Idaho Governor Signs Bill Limiting Transgender Women & Girls in School Sports
April 3, 2020— Idaho governor Brad Little signed the controversial House Bill 500 – called the “Fairness in Women’s Sports Act” by supporters – into law Monday. At the same time, he signed HB 509 , which prohibits transgender people from changing the sex listed on their birth certificates. HB 500 bans transgender women and girls from competing in women’s and girls’ sports at the high school and collegiate level in Idaho, making the state the first in the country to pass legislation against transgender students. Keiser’s Pol Roch Lowers NAIA Championship Record in 400 IM to 3:52.02
March 7, 2020— Keiser sophomore Pol Roch took 1.45 seconds off the NAIA Meet Record in the 400 IM on Day 3 of the 2020 NAIA National Swimming and Diving Championship in Knoxville, swimming a personal-best 3:52.02 to win the event for the second year in a row. Roch set the meet record last year , too, going 3:53.47. Roch and his teammate, freshman Marti Ranea , both crashed through the 3:53 barrier in the final after having swum 3:59.77 and 3:57.80, respectively, in prelims.

    2020 NAIA Women’s Nationals Day 2 Finals: SCAD's Isabella Song Ties 200 IM CR
    March 6, 2020— SCAD won a hard-fought battle against Keiser to open Thursday night’s finals session, edging the Seahawks by .06 to win the 200 free relay with 1:33.32. The Bees led off with Anna Kate McGinty (23.36) and followed with Spencer Sheridan (23.48), Chloe Hui (23.79), and Sloan Sizemore (22.69). Keiser’s Elianna Kennon led off with 23.37, essentially finishing even with SCAD’s McGinty.
