During their Senior Day on Saturday, the Providence men defeated Holy Cross 193-95. The Holy Cross women defeated Providence in a close call, 154-146.

The Providence College swimming and diving teams open their 2021-22 season at the New England Catholic Invite. The meet was hosted by Boston College and was comprised of seven women's teams and six men's teams. The Friar men finished in second place with 718.5 points. With 525 points, the women finished in third place. The highlight of the meet for the Friars came on Friday night as sophomore Will Layden set a program record in the 50 yard freestyle (20.63).

The Providence College Friars competed in the third day of the 2021 BIG EAST Swimming and Diving Championships. Sophomore Kevin Hood won the 100-yard breaststroke to claim the title.

The Providence College men's swimming and diving team hosted Holy Cross in the team's final home meet of the season. The Friars tallied four program records en route to defeating the Crusaders, 173-96. McGovern Brown, Kevin Hood, Justin Viotto, and Andrew Ferrell opened the meet with a program record, 3:53.11, in the 400-meter medley relay. Will Layden set new records in the 100-meter freestyle (51.97) and the 100-meter backstroke (57.78).
