July 19, 2020 — David Gapinski from St. Johns, Florida has made a verbal commitment to the Georgia Institute of Technology for the 2021-22 school year. A rising senior at Creekside High School, he swims year-round for Loggerhead Aquatics and specializes in butterfly and freestyle. Gapinski finaled in both the 200 free (13th) and 100 fly (13th) at the Florida High School 4A Swimming and Diving Championships in November, earning a PB in the latter. Georgia Tech Receives Commitment from Matt Steele

July 14, 2020 — Matt Steele , an incoming high school senior from Atlanta, Georgia, has committed to swim for Division I Georgia Tech. Steele will graduate from North Atlanta High School in spring 2021 and join the Yellow Jacket’s class of 2025. Steele currently trains with the SwimAtlanta mega-club. He is a Futures and Junior Nationals qualifier who placed 3 rd in both the 100 breaststroke (57.29) and 200 IM (1:51.16) at the 2020 GHSA 6-7A State Championships. At the 2020 ACC Championships with Georgia Tech, Steele would have been the team’s 4 th fastest swimmer in the 400 IM and 5 th fastest 200 b ...
