Jan. 19, 2021 — TYR Pro Swim Series: What We Learned From the First Prelims/Finals Meet of the Year Usually a prelims/finals meet in mid-January would be another ho-hum competition in the leadup to the Olympic Trials. But this past weekend’s Pro Swim Series in San Antonio and Richmond was a welcomed sight for swim fans due to the fact it was the first legitimate prelims/finals meet in a long-course venue since March 2020, a week before the COVID-19 pandemic took hold of the United States. USA Swimming held the U.S. Open across nine different sites in late November, but the meet was timed finals only ...

2021 TYR Pro Swim Series: Justin Ress, Catie DeLoof Continue Momentum in 100 Freestyle
SWIMMINGWORLDMAGAZINE.COM
Jan. 18, 2021 — 2021 TYR Pro Swim Series: Justin Ress, Catie DeLoof Continue Momentum in 100 Freestyle The strength of the men’s sprint scene during the two-site TYR Pro Swim Series over the weekend was undoubtedly in Richmond. 2021 Pro Swim Series – San Antonio: Day 4 Finals Live Recap
SWIMSWAM.COM
Jan. 17, 2021 — The final night from the San Antonio Pro Swim should be another exciting one — though there will be a few sparsely populated heats. World record holder Regan Smith has scratched out of the women’s 200 back, as has Emma Weyant , leaving just six swimmers in that event tonight. Phoebe Bacon and Isabelle Stadden come in as the top two seeds. Will Grant has also dropped out of the men’s 200 back, meaning just four will contest that race, though it remains intriguing with Ryan Murphy , Shaine Casas and Austin Katz in the field. Other key matchups to watch for tonight include Abbey Weitzei ...
