Georgia Bates has opted to stay close to home for her college career, verbally committing to the University of Florida for the 2021-22 season. She’ll be reunited with her older sister, Talia Bates , who is a rising sophomore All-American for the Gators. She will join Ekaterina Nikonova , Olivia Peoples , Anna Auld , Mary Kate Kelley , Micayla Cronk , and Brooke Zettel in Gainesville as a member of the class of 2025.

The University of Florida has recently gained a big verbal commitment for the fall of 2021 from Ekaterina Nikonova of Novosibirsk, Russia. She will join Olivia Peoples , Anna Auld , Mary Kate Kelley , Micayla Cronk , Brooke Zettel , and Georgia Bates in Gainesville as a member of the class of 2025. Regarding her commitment, she said: Nikonova is a talented sprint freestyler who represents the Russian Swimming Federation internationally.
